Can a Liquid Diet help me lose weight safely?
A liquid diet
may help you lose some weight, if and only if it is safe
and still eat a proper balanced diet.
A typical
liquid diet is used as a meal or snack replacement up to
twice a day and is usually made up of skim milk powder, sugar,
vitamins, fiber, minerals and sweetener.
If you
choose a good liquid diet brand, they are usually
nutritionally balanced and can be quite sweet, so if you
have a sweet tooth this is good news for you.
A drawback
for the liquid diet is that in the long term, you need to adapt
to healthy eating habits and watch everything you eat! A
liquid diet is great to get you used to not eating fatty
snacks and overeating at meal times, but the liquid diet is
not the overall answer to losing weight.
If you do chose to go with a
liquid diet of any sort, eat plenty of fresh vegetables
and fruits throughout the day. Nothing beats a good healthy
balanced eating plan with plenty of fresh water and
exercise.
