Is the Soup Diet just another fad?

The soup diet has been around for many years now, and it’s still going strong!

The soup diet, also known as the cabbage soup diet is based on a fat-burning soup that contains negligible calories. Apparently, the more soup you eat…the more weight you lose? (But don’t just eat the soup or you will become malnourished they say!)

Those who recommend the soup diet say that by being on the soup diet, if correctly followed, it should cleanse your system of impurities, and give you a sense of well-being with weight loss.

The soup diet also recommends staying away from bread, alcohol and carbonated drinks. You can consume plenty of fruits and some vegetables and rice.

The soup diet is made up of cabbages, onions, capsicums, chopped tomatoes and celery.

The soup diet would definitely be one of the most boring diets around and would also be one of the hardest to stick to. Very un-exciting indeed. Sticking to a soup diet would most definitely have more downsides than positive sides that’s for sure.

The only good thing about a soup diet, is eating the soup between balanced meals instead of the high fat snacks will help keep the extra weight off!
